Here’s the question: why does the Republican Party recruit and promote so many closeted gay men?
The blogger takes this idea and runs with it, speculating on the orientation of three key Republicans by name. Whether or not you want to believe that closeted gay Republicans are hypocrites for not advancing the same causes advocated by activists in the gay community is one thing. Even if they are gay, they may have perfectly legitimate conservative opinions regarding gay rights, and they're entitled to them. But ignoring the privacy these three men desire to keep is entirely another. For a Progressive who purports to be in favor of equality and fairness to all people (presumably), attempting to push someone out of the closet is a pretty shitty way to make a point.
