And the Democrats keep talking about change as they keep playing the game.
Superdelegates get campaign cash
I wonder how much money has gone from Hillary to her husband Bill? Or to Al Gore? Or Harry Ickes? All are superdelegates.
And Mr. Obama keeps talking about how Washington is broken and that the wealthy use lobbyists to ensure their interests, yet he is doing exactly what he preaches against. Apparently he has learned to play the game, even though it is a game that is stacked against him. The Clintons worked to put these superdelegates into play. It will be interesting to see if it all works out in their favor.
Superdelegates get campaign cash
Many of the superdelegates who could well decide the Democratic
presidential nominee have already been plied with campaign contributions by
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, a new study shows.
.
.
Obama's political action committee has doled out more than $694,000 to
superdelegates since 2005, the study found, and of the 81 who had announced
their support for Obama, 34 had received donations totaling
$228,000.
Clinton's political action committee has distributed about $195,000
to superdelegates, and only 13 of the 109 who had announced for her have
received money, totaling about $95,000.

Interesting, Which Vote The GOP Chose To Walk Out On...
Published by BG on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 6:44 PM.From chaos to contempt - John Bresnahan - Politico.com
Following an angry partisan debate and a dramatic walkout by Republicans, the House on Thursday approved motions to begin criminal and civil contempt proceedings against White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten and former White House Counsel Harriett Miers for failing to comply with subpoenas issued by the House Judiciary Committee.
The vote was 223-32 and came after House Republicans – yelling “Work, work, work” – marched out of the chamber en masse to protest the fact that the Democrats were focused on the contempt issue rather than on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act legislation the Senate passed earlier in the week.
According to today's House schedule, the time "wasted" on the Bolten/Miers contempt of Congress resolution was (generously) about 43 minutes.
Minutes, you say, that could have been spent on FISA!
Well, what did our brave and noble GOP congressmen do between 2:23PM EST (when the contempt citation was passed by a 223-32-1 margin), and the 6:09PM motion to adjourn?
2:43PM - 174 GOP votes cast in favor of honoring African-American inventors.
2:52PM - 188 GOP votes cast (139 for, 49 against) for something called the "National Ocean Exploration Program Act."
2:59PM - 190 GOP votes cast in favor of making technical corrections to the "Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act"
3:08PM - 191 GOP votes cast in favor of honoring and praising the NAACP on its 99th anniversary (they speak so well! they're so well spoken!)
3:43PM - 190 GOP votes cast in favor authorizing the placement in Arlington National Cemetery of an American Braille tactile flag honoring blind members of the Armed Forces, veterans, and other Americans.
3:50PM - 178 GOP votes cast in favor of commending the people of Washington state for taking care of their veterans.
3:56PM - 179 GOP votes cast in favor of supporting the goals and ideals of "National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans Week."
4:03PM - 184 GOP votes cast in favor of supporting the goals and ideals of "American Heart Month and National Wear Red Day."
(tick tock, tick tock)
6:09PM - Motion to adjourn accepted.
Priorities!

For My Lefty Friends...

Here's a test of endurance: See how many comments you can get through on this Michelle Malkin post before your head hurts too much to continue.
My mark is thirteen. Here's where the dissonance got too loud for my ears:
OMG NOES!!11! WE WILL ALL DIE TOGETHER!1!!
Seriously, would someone please explain to me what the missing step in this progression is? I haven't heard a viable answer yet:
1) Terrists don't like America
2) Terrists would do us harm
3) [MISSING STEP]
4) America is defeated at the hands of terrists, all your burka are belong to Osama.
Seriously, all you people talking in terms of victory and surrender. What is step three in that progression, and why is it worth shredding the first and fourth (and while you're at it, the fourteenth) amendments?

Since I don’t spend much time talking on the phone with terrorists in other countries, this doesn’t seem to be a problem for me.
In case you haven’t noticed scooter, people are trying to KILL US. We are at war with an enemy that doesn’t subscribe to the Geneva conventions and is using our technology and laws against us. We have to make adjustments to protect ourselves in time of war.
During WWII we rationed gasoline, and didn’t make phone calls to the Gestapo. This is no different, if we don’t all fight together we will all die together.
